Trying to Think Positively

Trying to Think Positively

When I was in undergraduate school a few, uh, decades ago, I read Albert Camus's novel, The Plague (Le Peste).  It's about an outbreak of Bubonic Plague in Algiers in the early 1950's.  I've been thinking about that book a lot lately.  Granted, this current situation is not the same, but it is similar.  So I was looking for a quote from the book for today's post; however, everything I found was just too depressing.  But I did find this: " The Renaissance took place in chaos and plague." Shiva Ayyadurai

So maybe we have that going for us.  Maybe something great, or even good, will come out of this time and situation.  We can cling to that hope for now, and see what will happen.

In the meantime, this is Bitsy, a portrait I just completed.  I think she turned out pretty well.  As a shameless plug, this is a good time to get art done for you, whether it's buying it or commissioning a piece for your home and life.

So stay well, enjoy every day, enjoy my art, and thanks for reading.
